You’re never too young to learn to code as kindergartners at RP Connor discovered in Ms. Bean’s class this morning when they were introduced to Dash. The adorable robots can be programmed using an app created by Wonder Workshop and the K students were able to explore how the coding process works.
The staff, students and families at RP Connor have always prided themselves on their deep sense of community, and Principal Kelly Benadi is taking that sentiment one step further by transforming the school into an actual neighborhood, complete with street signs.

For nearly 10 years, first graders at Viola Elementary collected pajamas to give to families in need as part of their social studies lesson on becoming global citizens and we're happy to report that they've brought this heartwarming tradition to RP Connor!
In honor of Veterans Day on Monday, RP Connor and Sloatsburg Elementary schools held their annual Veterans Day celebrations where local veterans, many of whom are relatives of our students, came by to visit and feel our appreciation for them through songs, speeches and more than a few hugs.
First graders are learning about the sun, moon and stars as part of their science curriculum, and Instructional Facilitator Dawn Bean is supplementing those lessons by taking a closer look at the 8 Phases of the Moon.
